Israeli army enters Southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have entered southern Lebanon, taking control of several positions on the Lebanese side of the border as part of efforts to strengthen forward defenses on the northern front, the army’s press service reported Tuesday, according to RIA Novosti.

“Alongside IDF actions within the framework of ‘Lion’s Roar’ (in Iran), Israeli soldiers are active in southern Lebanon and have been deployed at several positions near the border as part of efforts to strengthen forward defenses,” the press release said.
