Amid Israeli missile strikes and tensions in Lebanon, the Armenian community continues to monitor developments, showing vigilance and avoiding panic, Aram Somounjian, a member of the ARF Central Committee, said in an interview with Alpha News.

According to him, there are currently no direct military operations in Armenian districts.

“No strikes or incursions have been recorded in our districts. Only the sounds of military aircraft and drones can be heard, but Armenian neighborhoods have not been targeted,” Somounjian said.

Commenting on reports that the Israeli army carried out a ground incursion, he noted that this refers to southern border areas—southern Lebanon and northern Israel.

“There is practically no Armenian population in those areas. Moreover, a significant portion of the Lebanese population has already been displaced from those regions,” he emphasized.
