Israel has launched strikes on Damascus and Hama. The target of the strikes in the capital was a research center located in the north, Syrian MP Maria Gabrielyan told Alpha News.

“On April 2, Israeli forces penetrated the outskirts of the city of Nawa, located in the western province of Daraa, and deployed dozens of military vehicles. Later, Israel launched flares over the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra. At the same time, Israel struck the cities of Damascus and Hama. In the capital, the target was a research center located in the north. A senior Israeli official commented on these attacks, noting that they are aimed at sending a clear message to Ankara: first, not to establish military bases in Syria, and second, not to interfere with the actions of the Israeli Air Force in Syria,” Gabrielyan noted.

According to the MP, the Syrian Foreign Ministry called on international organizations to take a stronger stance.

“A few hours ago, Israeli forces retreated from the outskirts of the city of Nawa in Daraa province. However, attacks were carried out simultaneously in five different areas of the country. As a result, dozens of soldiers and civilians were injured. The Syrian Foreign Ministry described the strikes as an escalation of tensions and called on international organizations to take a decisive stance and put pressure on Israel to stop the attacks and adhere to international laws and treaties,” Gabrielyan concluded.
