It is in Russia’s interest for war to be stopped – Haik Ter-Nersisyan

Speaking with Alpha News, political scientist Haik Ter-Nersisyan commented on the events surrounding Ukraine and the peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.

The political scientist does not believe that Ukraine will agree to the US plan.

“No one will give Ukraine to Russia for free,” Haik Ter-Nersisyan said.

According to him, Russia is making progress on the front line day by day, and it is clearly in its interest for the war to be stopped.

Speaking about the role of US President Donald Trump in the settlement, the political scientist noted that Trump is not interested in ending the war, as he is promoting American interests.

“The US sells large quantities of weapons to Europeans. American interests may lie in the economy or in taking a piece of it,” he added.
