It is possible that US will use military force against Canada – Mher Karakashian

 
Canadian-based teacher and social activist Mher Karakashian, in a conversation with Alpha News, commented on the scandalous statement of the US president-elect Donald Trump that Canada should become the 51st state of the United States.

“Trump wants Canada to become the 51st state and calls Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a governor. Trump says the US is subsidizing Canada every year. He says that in this case, America is suffering, and in return, he wants to raise tariffs by 25 percent,” Karakashian told Alpha News.

According to Karakashian, virtually the entire Canadian population is opposed to the country becoming a US state.

“Trump is trying to speak from a position of strength and especially to use economic leverage against Canada. Ninety percent of the Canadian population is against becoming a US state. It does not matter what nice words they say and what promises they make, saying citizens will pay less taxes, I do not think that is going to happen. Trump also claims that the US army is fully at Canada’s disposal in case something happens,” Karakashian said.

According to Karakashian, it is possible that the US will use military force against Canada.

In the context of this statement, Donald Trump shared a map of the United States that also includes Canada. However, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has announced his resignation, ruled out the possibility of joining the US, saying that his country will never become part of the United States.
