On August 28, Jack Hadjinian officially kicked off his campaign for Montebello City Council.

Hadjinian has served in Montebello City Council for 9 years. He has previously served as mayor twice, in 2015 and 2019. During his years in office, he has implemented a number of important social programs and a housing project valued at about $1 billion and actively cooperated with law enforcement. He is confident that the experience he has gained is necessary for a city going through difficult times.

In the last four years since Hadjinian’s resignation in 2020, the City of Montebello has been very unstable, facing several lawsuits and audits by the State Controller’s Office.

On his Facebook, Jack Hadjinian often mentions the many crimes in Montebello that have increased dramatically over the past four years. In his August 8 Facebook post, he spoke up about nighttime attacks on small and medium-sized businesses.

“This is Montebello today. Three businesses were hit last night at Whittier & Montebello Blvd. Very sad when the current leadership on the City Council doesn’t support law enforcement! We deserve better!” he said.

Hadjinian currently serves as an LA County Commissioner on the Drug & Alcohol Commission, representing District 1. He is also a member of the Executive Council of the Western Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America.
