Josep Borrel says EU seeks to resume Armenian-Azerbaijani talks

The European Union continues to make efforts to resume negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia to conclude a peace treaty, Josep Borrel, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said on Thursday.

“The EU remains fully committed to making efforts for the immediate resumption of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he said.

According to Borrel, the ultimate goal of the negotiation process is the conclusion of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
