Karapetyan’s team views Religious Freedom Alliance as key direction in foreign policy engagement – Hakob Badalyan
In an interview with Alpha News, political analyst Hakob Badalyan emphasized the importance of Armenia’s participation in the International Religious Freedom Summit held in Washington, highlighting both its political and foreign policy significance.
According to Badalyan, philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan’s lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan, addressed not only Armenia’s domestic socio-political issues but also the ongoing developments surrounding Artsakh during the summit. He pointed out that participation in such an event is noteworthy, especially considering that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also spoke at the same forum last year.
“Armenia’s socio-political developments have always been influenced by external factors, and in this context, foreign policy work becomes crucial—particularly for forces that aspire to play a significant role or come to power,” Badalyan said.
According to him, it is also interesting that Karapetyan’s team has identified the Religious Freedom Alliance initiative as one of its key directions in foreign policy engagement.
