Khachanov moves up in ATP rankings

Russian tennis player of Armenian descent Karen Khachanov has climbed from 17th to 16th place in the ATP rankings, according to the latest update released Monday on the organization’s website.

Last week, Khachanov reached the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Doha, Qatar, where he lost in three sets to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz.

Alcaraz remains at the top of the rankings, followed by Italy’s Jannik Sinner. Serbia’s Novak Djokovic rounds out the top three.
