Komitas’ collection of works enters UNESCO register

The collection of works of the great Armenian composer Komitas was inscribed on the UNESCO World Register by a unanimous decision of the UNESCO Executive Board.

During the press conference, Director of the Komitas Museum-Institute Nikolay Kostandyan noted that this occasion coincided with the 9th anniversary of the museum’s foundation.

He added that the inscription became possible due to the 7-8 years of work of the museum and cooperation with the Armenian Ministry of Education and Culture.

Museum visitors now have the opportunity to see Komitas’ workroom, thanks to VR technology.
