The possibility of extending the mission of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh will be discussed with the Azerbaijani side, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“Now we are talking about a mission that is located on the territory of Azerbaijan. Thus, we will discuss it with the Azerbaijani side,” Peskov said.

According to him, the issue of concluding a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan remains relevant.

“It is certainly relevant. In addition, there are plans for the development of transport communications and logistics in the region. This is extremely important for Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia. We hope that this work will continue,” Peskov said in response to a question whether it is possible to put an end to the conflict between Baku and Yerevan after the announcement of the cessation of the Nagorno-Karabakh existence.
