Any observation mission in Nagorno-Karabakh can be deployed only with the consent of Baku, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with reporters.
He added that it was hard to say anything definite about the US mission.

“We don’t see anything definite here yet. Moreover, any mission can be deployed only with the consent of the Azerbaijani side. This must be taken into account in the first place. We, in turn, continue our talks with Yerevan and Baku, as well as with the ethnic Armenians of Karabakh,” Peskov said.

To remind, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said earlier that the United States was working on creating an international mission that would monitor Azerbaijan’s fulfillment of its obligations in terms of ensuring the rights and security of Artsakh residents. He added that they had called for such a mission for some time, and they “are working with allies and partners to secure one”.
