The first TUMO Center for Creative Technologies in South America has opened in the capital of Argentina. It will be able to host up to 6,000 teenagers per week, making it the largest TUMO center in the world.

The project was realized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the City of Buenos Aires. The center is located at the Centro Metropolitano de Diseño (CMD) — Latin America’s largest design hub.

In 2026, two additional TUMO centers are scheduled to open in the northern and southern districts of Buenos Aires, giving the young people the opportunity to study technology and design regardless of social background.

The official opening ceremony was attended by Buenos Aires Mayor Jorge Macri, Education Minister Mercedes Miguel, and TUMO Executive Director Marie Lou Papazian.
