Launch of ‘Zangezur corridor’ will increase cargo transportation – Ilham Aliyev

The launch of the “Zangezur corridor” will lead to an increase in cargo transportation, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said during his address to participants of the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) held in Baku.

“The volume of transit cargo transported through the Middle corridor is increasing year by year. In the coming years, especially with the launch of the Zangezur corridor, further growth is expected. The country’s modern infrastructure—including the Baku International Sea Trade Port, the Alat Free Economic Zone, and its cutting-edge railway systems—offers investors direct access to global markets and high transit efficiency,” he said.
