Legendary fighter Francisco Filho has arrived in Yerevan at the invitation of the Armenian Kyokushin Karate Federation.

The 55-year-old Brazilian will conduct a seminar at the Olimpavan sports complex in Yerevan from February 27 to March 1.

Francisco Filho began practicing Kyokushin Karate at the age of 10 and earned his black belt just six and a half years later. He holds a 7th dan in Kyokushin Karate and is one of the few non-Japanese practitioners to successfully complete the grueling “100 Kumite” challenge (100 consecutive fights). Over the course of his career, he won numerous championship titles.

Since retiring from competition in 2004, Filho has been actively promoting Kyokushin Karate. He is the head of this martial art in Brazil and South America.
