Levon Aronian leads Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025

The Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025 kicked off in Saint Louis, USA, with Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian, representing the United States, making a spectacular start.

Aronian won all three of his rapid chess games on the first day.

In Round 1, Aronian defeated reigning world champion Gukesh Dommaraju (India); in Round 2, he outplayed Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France), and in Round 3, he won against Nodirbek Abdusattorov (Uzbekistan).
