City council elections are being held in Los Angeles, with Armenian Levon Baronian being one of the candidates.

“Elections are taking place at all levels across the US. One of them is the election to the Los Angeles City Council, and I am a candidate in District 4,” Baronian said.

According to him, quite a lot of Armenians live in Los Angeles, therefore, they must be more active.

“There are quite a lot of Armenians in LA, not as many as in Glendale, but LA is considered, if not the first, then the second largest area with an Armenian population. There are also quite a large number of Armenian voters here, around 7,000 people. The elections have already started, and people are coming to vote,” Baronian said.

He advised being careful while voting.

“4-5 years ago, the law was changed in California. Now the ballots are mailed to registered voters. Previously, all voters had to go vote in person. It is important that people do not submit their ballots without voting. You must definitely make a choice and put the ballot in an envelope,” Baronian concluded.
