Azerbaijani media today spread information about the delivery of humanitarian cargo from Baku to Stepanakert under the auspices of the Red Crescent, but there was no agreement on this issue with the Artsakh side, press secretary of the President of Artsakh Lusine Avanesyan told Artsakhpress.
She added that this step is aimed at deepening existing problems rather than resolving them.
“The issue of resuming the established regime of the Kashatagh (Lachin) corridor still remains a top priority, and any dialogue with the Azerbaijani side should be primarily conducted on this issue. The free and unimpeded movement of persons, goods and vehicles must be ensured in both directions.
If the Azerbaijani authorities are really interested in eliminating the grave humanitarian catastrophe of the people of Artsakh and ending the genocide, then they should not prohibit the restoration of supplies to Artsakh through the Lachin corridor, as envisaged in the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020 and in the rulings of the International Court of Justice,” Avanesyan said.
