Lusine Gharakhanyan appointed acting director of Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum in Yerevan
Today, I have been appointed acting director of the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum in Yerevan, Lusine Gharakhanyan, Former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Artsakh, announced on Facebook.
“Tumanyan carries and transmits literature, wisdom, artistry, and humanity. During my childhood and adolescence, he was a guide and symbol of goodness for me. I ‘pulled away’ from him in my youth and got closer to Western writers and works.
Today, decent conditions have been created to be close to Tumanyan, to preach Tumanyan, to wear Tumanyan, to be like Tumanyan, and to learn from Tumanyan. I will comfort my pain for Artsakh in Tumanyan, who observes kindness, deep humanity, human psychology, and human ideals exclusively on a spiritual level.
In Tumanyan’s works that are full of the unknown and free from universal causality and conventions, I will feel the collective potential of beauty, goodness and truth, and in his works based on folklore, I will restore my faith in the ‘dignity of peoples’, ‘moral greatness’, ‘the limit of perfection’ and other Tumanyan values.
With Tumanyan, it will be easy to return to childhood and reevaluate it, to live with pain and process it, not to put up with what was lost, and not to give up…
To act on Tumanyan’s instructions with the museum staff and the structure coordinating the field that knows Tumanyan best and conveys the phenomenon of the poet of all Armenians to generations.
I thank Zhanna Andreasyan for the offer,” Gharakhanyan wrote.
