A former graduate of the French University, lawyer Manan Barseghyan, together with her friends, staged a protest in front of the university today and called on to join the acts of disobedience demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“People are sitting in cafes, discussing something and not thinking at all, but I don’t have that mood. I can’t go to work and sit quietly. We have staged a protest today. If we don’t go out now, there will be no tomorrow. People study and work now, but tomorrow there may be no work. That’s why we all have to go out on the streets today,” Manan told Alpha News.
After the French university, Manan and her friends marched to the Russian-Armenian and the American universities of Armenia. According to Manan, the rector of the Russian-Armenian University forbade students to join the rally.
“The doors were closed and they wouldn’t let us in, but the students wanted to participate,” Manan said.
She called on everyone to unite around the demand for Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation for the sake of Artsakh and Armenia.
“We have to be stronger in this situation. The people of Artsakh have fought and resisted for so long, but today they are being genocided. We have no right to be indifferent. Our century-old enemy has not changed, it is committing genocide against us again,” Manan said.
