The Marie Manoogian School (IMM) of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) in Buenos Aires will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding with an exhibition and awards for journalists and community leaders. The event will be attended by AGBU Central Board President Sam Simonian, who took office on October 12 during the union’s 93rd General Assembly in New York.

AGBU’s central hall in Buenos Aires will host the opening of the IMM Alumni Collective Art Exhibition on November 5 at 7:30 pm. The exhibition will feature works of art, including paintings and sculptures made by former students.

At 8:30 pm, an awards ceremony will be held in Nazarian Hall, presided over by Sam Simonian. Mariano Vergara, Undersecretary of Latin American Affairs for Argentina’s Foreign Ministry and former Ambassador of Argentina to Armenia, will be named an honorary member of AGBU. Diplomats, public figures, and journalists will also be awarded.

The celebrations will end on November 7 at 7:30 pm with the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the 50th anniversary of IMM, granted by the Buenos Aires City Legislature.
