Ahead of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, at the initiative of Marseille Mayor Benoit Payan and the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of the South of France (CCAF Sud), a solemn ceremony took place on April 22, illuminating the Palais du Pharo with the colors of the Armenian flag.

This action marked the beginning of a series of events dedicated to commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The torchlight procession organized by the ARF “Nor Seround” was held on the evening of April 23 and continued into the morning of April 24. There will also be a mass at the Beaumont Church, a procession to the Armenian Genocide Memorial for an official ceremony, and, later in the afternoon, a march to the Turkish Consulate, where a rally is set to take place.
