Meeting of CIS Council of Heads of State kicks off in Bishkek

The meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State has kicked off in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The meeting has started in a narrow format, then it will continue in an expanded format with participation of delegations.

The meeting is attended by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

As reported, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will not attend the meeting due to “certain circumstances.” However, it is expected that he will connect via video call.
