Meeting of Prime Ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan held in Astana

A meeting was held in Astana between the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, and the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov. The latter welcomed the official visit of the Armenian Prime Minister and noted that it is of great importance for the further development of relations between the two countries. Oljas Bektenov expressed confidence that after productive negotiations between the Armenian Prime Minister and the President of Kazakhstan, his government will make every effort to successfully implement the agreements reached. He also congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on receiving Kazakhstan’s highest award and added that this underscores the fact that Armenia is a reliable partner for Kazakhstan.
Nikol Pashinyan thanked him for the congratulations and noted that it was a great honor for him to be awarded Kazakhstan’s highest distinction. The Prime Minister emphasized the strong partnership established personally with Oljas Bektenov and expressed gratitude for his assistance in deepening economic ties between the two countries. He noted that there is significant potential for trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan and voiced hope that new transport opportunities will give an additional impetus to its effective implementation.
The sides discussed a number of issues related to the development of relations in various fields and the bilateral agenda.
