Memorial plaque honoring Aram Khachaturyan installed in Tbilisi

A memorial plaque honoring outstanding Armenian composer Aram Khachaturyan was installed in Tbilisi, Georgia, on November 27.

The plaque that says “Great composer Aram Khachaturyan lived here in 1905-1922” was installed on the building where the composer was born and lived for many years.

The ceremony was attended by Georgian MPs, representatives of the city council, and Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan. The building has the status of an object of cultural and historical heritage.

Aram Khachaturyan was born on June 6, 1903, in Tbilisi.
