Metaxe Hakobyan: Nobody handed over former presidents of Artsakh, they went on their own

Nobody handed them over; they went on their own and were arrested just like David Babayan, Artsakh MP Metaxe Hakobyan told Alpha News, referring to the arrest of Artsakh officials by Azerbaijan.

“They could have not taken that step and then people would die, but they went for it and saved people’s lives. This is the reality. This is the behavior of heroes who went through the real war. They could not do otherwise,” the Artsakh MP said.

According to Hakobyan, there are so-called agents in Armenia and Artsakh who have a direct connection with the Azerbaijani side.

“There are people in both Armenia and Artsakh who admit that they are agents. They communicate with the Azerbaijani side and continue to move around freely. In normal countries, special structures would have started to deal with such people. In recent days, I have witnessed dignified behavior by the military-political figures of Artsakh. During various conversations, they were offered to leave, but they replied that in the current situation, they would leave the country last,” Hakobyan said.
