If every Armenian helps in some way, our country will become a better place, philanthropist and social activist Michael Sarian told Alpha News.

“My goal is to help our people, the Armenians, to do everything I can as an Armenian. If every Armenian thinks about how they can contribute to their homeland and help in some simple but effective way, then we will have a better country,” Sarian said.

He noted that during the four-day war, medicines and medical supplies worth $18 million were sent to Armenia․

“The first time we sent medicine and medical supplies was in 2016 to people injured during the war. We sent medication worth 18 million eight times. There were rumors that the aid did not reach its destination. As a person, you get upset. But the aid was certainly distributed across 33 hospitals. My only goal was to ensure that aid reaches hospitals and is useful to people,” our interlocutor said.

Michael Sarian said that all the work was done by him and his friends, they even paid for the transport themselves․

“I didn’t get a cent for it. Me and my friends sent the aid; the government didn’t organize anything. I even paid for transport so that the aid could reach Armenia. I wanted our Armenian brothers and sisters to have medical equipment. Yes, there are several good medical centers in Armenia, but many regions do not have hospitals,” Sarian concluded.
