Mnatsakan Abrahamyan claims silver at European U23 Weightlifting Championships in Albania

Mnatsakan Abrahamyan (94 kg) became the silver medalist at the U23 European Weightlifting Championships held in Durrës, Albania.

The Armenian weightlifter successfully completed all six of his attempts and fought for the gold with the Ukrainian athlete until the very end, but fell just short.

Abrahamyan earned a small bronze in the snatch, a small gold in the clean and jerk, and the overall silver medal with a combined total of 361 kg (160+201).

In the 94 kg weight category, the gold medal went to Maksym Dombrovskyi (Ukraine) with 363 kg (162+201).
