More than half of tourists visiting Armenia are Russians

The number of tourists who visited Armenia over the past nine months has increased by 48%; more than half of them are citizens of Russia, the National Statistics Committee reports.

In January-September 2023, 1,839,000 tourists visited Armenia.

The total number of tourists increased by 48.4% year-over-year.

As of 2023, the greatest number of tourists was from Russia, with a total of 50.7%. Tourists from Georgia are in second place (10.1%), followed by Iranian citizens.
