Emma Avanesyan will represent Armenia at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant, which will be held in Mexico this November.
The 32-year-old Armenian model, who lives in Moscow, became the third runner-up at the Miss Universe Armenia 2024 pageant. She replaced the winner, Irina Zakharova, who will not be able to represent the country due to citizenship issues.
According to the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), the former winner did not fulfill the requirements stipulated in the licensing agreements. MUO added that the titleholder must have a valid passport of the country she represents.
“I am proud to have had the opportunity to represent Armenia at the Miss Universe pageant,” Emma said in a post on her Instagram.
Emma Avanesyan is the founder of a modeling agency and singer.
