Moscow remains committed to the entire set of agreements with Yerevan and does not abandon its obligations to its allies, including those in the military and political areas, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said at the second Russia-Armenia public forum, TASS reports.
“Moscow has been and remains committed to the entire set of agreements, both at the bilateral level and within the Eurasian associations. We are not abandoning our commitments to our allies, including those in the military and political areas. For years we have been working together to shape the security architecture in the South Caucasus. Russia’s role in this regard has always been and will always be essential, especially given the dynamic situation in the region and around the world. We are ready for a frank and substantive conversation with Yerevan on this topical issue,” he said.
The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that Russia sincerely cherishes relations with Armenia and its people.
“We always try to treat the Russian-Armenian alliance with due care. The ties between our countries are based on centuries-old traditions of friendship, shared history, cultures and value systems, as well as on numerous material achievements and projects,” Galuzin added.
