Moscow supports Yerevan’s commitment to fruitful cooperation, Russian MFA Spokesperson on Armenia’s EAEU presidency

Moscow supports Yerevan’s commitment to fruitful cooperation within the framework of Armenia’s presidency of the EAEU in 2024, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

• “We are building a constructive and depoliticized dialogue with our Armenian partners, as well as with the rest of the EAEU member states. Since January 1, the presidency of the union’s bodies, as you noted again, has been passed to Armenia,” she said.

According to Zakharova, the Armenian Prime Minister, speaking at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 25 in St. Petersburg, announced “Yerevan’s focus on the tasks within the framework of the EAEU in the medium and long term.”

“We support the commitment of our partners, the commitment to further fruitful cooperation aimed at strengthening and developing Eurasian economic integration,” Zakharova added.
