Mother Armenia Alliance presents project for Gyumri’s development

On the initiative of the Mother Armenia Alliance, an Armenian-Russian economic conference is currently taking place in Gyumri. As part of the conference, discussions are underway about creating a free economic zone in Gyumri and granting Gyumri the status of a free city in terms of tax regime.

Representative of the Russian Consulate in Gyumri, Consul-Advisor Yuri Kovalko, representatives of state, expert and business circles of Armenia and Russia are taking part in the conference. Some participants are joining the conference remotely.

In order to implement the development programs in Gyumri, the Mother Armenia Alliance conducted a signature collection campaign in Gyumri for 1 month, with 7700 residents of Gyumri participating.

The project of creating a free economic zone in Gyumri and granting Gyumri the status of a free city was presented to the participants of the conference by Andranik Tevanyan, the leader of the Mother Armenia movement.
