Speaking with Alpha News, Mourad Papazian, co-chair of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France, noted that the council is in touch with representatives of 15 European countries.
“We were able to organize a pan-European movement. In 15 European countries, we managed to unite public organizations so that everyone works in the same direction and with the same messages,” Papazian said.
As reported earlier, on October 1, a demonstration took place in Brussels, with many thousands of people participating. The European media responded to the demands of protesters.
“This is a great success,” Papazian said.
He noted that new rallies and demonstrations will take place on January 27 and 28.
“There will be rallies and demonstrations all over Europe. When we appeal to the top leaders of Europe, they always accept and listen to us. It is important for them to hear the voice directly. Although Nikol Pashinyan single-handedly recognized that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan, the leaders of the European Union should know that the Diaspora and the majority of the people in Armenia do not agree with this position, and we refuse to recognize that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan.
Artsakh has been an Armenian land for thousands of years. It belonged to Armenians, and today, recognizing it as part of Azerbaijan is a serious responsibility. This decision will be condemned in the face of history,” Mourad Papazian concluded.
