Mundo Deportivo: Zakharyan is ready to show all his talent

Spanish nationwide newspaper Mundo Deportivo analyzed the first season of Armenian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan in Spanish Real Sociedad and shared expectations from the player’s games in the 2024/2025 season.

“Zakharyan is ready to take on more responsibility and show all his talent, which he demonstrated sparingly last season. It is evident that his role will become even more important if Real Sociedad fails to retain midfielder Mikel Merino. He has grown over time, adapting to training and gradually mastering his Spanish.

Thus, he has become a real asset and has been part of the rotation in the last 10 league games. He started five of them and was finally able to put his game into practice: a goal against Cádiz and two assists against Villarreal and Alavés were the poor baggage in 40 games for Zakharyan, who is confident he can significantly increase those numbers this season,” wrote Mundo Deportivo’s Ángel López.

Zakharyan’s agent, Gennadiy Golubin, for his part, said that his client is in Russia.

“Arsen is now on vacation in Russia. He has an individual program to train on his own. Real Sociedad’s training camp will start on July 11, and by that time, Zakharyan will arrive in Spain,” Sport24 quoted Golubin as saying.
