The Armenian American Writers Union at Glendale’s Hamazkayin Center hosted a literary event dedicated to Armenian screenwriter and author Mushegh Galshoyan.

The event brought together writers, critics, and readers. The event coincided with the Armenian Prime Minister’s remarks questioning the Armenian Genocide, and Galshoyan’s characters seemed to come alive to protest.

Literary scholar Vahik Sargsyan gave an extensive presentation, analyzing the work “Dzori Miro” and noting that Galshoyan is meant to awaken the memory of Armenians.

Mushegh Galshoyan’s classmate was also present at the literary event and shared with the attendees his memories of his youth and adolescence.
