Nair Tiknizyan, football player for the Armenian national team and left-back for Lokomotiv Moscow, refused to move to Galatasaray in the winter.
The reason for the player’s refusal is the tense relations between Armenia and Turkey.
Despite Galatasaray’s wish for Tiknizyan’s transfer after the sale of its left-back, official talks never happened.
Tiknizyan, 24, has been playing for Lokomotiv Moscow since 2021. The left-back scored 13 goals and made 12 assists in 82 matches. According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is €7 million.
Earlier, it was reported that FC Zenit tried to resume negotiations with Tiknizyan, but the latter refused the offer.
