National Ecclesiastical Assembly to be convened soon – Gevorg Danielyan

The National Ecclesiastical Assembly will be convened in the very near future, with an official announcement expected shortly, Gevorg Danielyan, former Minister of Justice of Armenia and member of the Supreme Spiritual Council of the Armenian Apostolic Church, told Sputnik Armenia.

According to him, after this assembly it will become clear that there is no “schism” in the Church. The agenda will include several important issues. As for the dissenters, he stressed that the matter involves only a few people.

The National Ecclesiastical Assembly is convened once every 7 years. The last time it was convened was in 2017. Its next session was postponed due to the pandemic, the Second Artsakh War, and the introduction of states of emergency and martial law.
