New coach’s appointment sparked motivation among our players – Viulen Ayvazyan

We should not focus solely on the appointment of a new coach, because we have urgent issues, said LAIFC coach Viulen Ayvazyan in an interview with Alpha News.

According to him, these issues cannot be solved within a year.

“Whether it’s Yeghishe Melikyan (the newly appointed head coach of Armenia’s national team) or someone else, the national team is currently not capable of solving major challenges. We should not expect miracles, like advancing to the group stage,” he said.

Ayvazyan noted that the new coach’s appointment has sparked motivation among the players.

“Regarding the Armenia–Portugal match, it is possible that the new coach’s appointment will have an impact. Let’s hope our players will perform better and prove to be worthy opponents for the Portuguese national team,” he added.
