The New Yorker has released a story about Francis Kurkdjian, a French perfumer and businessman of Armenian descent.
“His paternal grandfather was a furrier in Anatolia who later worked in the French silk trade. His maternal grandfather was a tailor from northern Turkey who fled after the Armenian genocide and established a high-end alterations business in Paris. His mother, Sylvia Florette, was a skilled amateur sewer,” the article says.
Kurkdjian told the New Yorker about how he created his perfume hits, about his brand Maison Francis Kurkdjian, as well as collaboration with Christian Dior.
