Azerbaijan did not even want to tolerate the presence of the small number of Armenians who remained in Artsakh, regardless of the fact that they posed no threat and many of them had serious health problems, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Dzyunik Aghajanyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

“The Azerbaijanis had absolutely no desire to tolerate even those few Armenians. They did not even attempt, at least for appearances, to show the international community that Armenians were living among them,” Aghajanyan said.

According to her, what has happened proves that today there are no Armenians left in Azerbaijan, and Artsakh, which has belonged to Armenians for millennia, has been completely emptied of its Armenian population.

“This was a completely logical outcome of the policy that Azerbaijan has pursued for years, having been granted the appropriate carte blanche,” Aghajanyan noted.
