The right to self-determination was taken away from the people of Artsakh, but no one can take away the Right to Revenge from them, Russian political scientist and publicist Sergey Chernyakhovsky wrote in his article “Those who want look for opportunities”.
The author spoke about the relations between Armenia and Russia, as well as why Armenia surrendered Artsakh.
“The behavior of the current Armenia is its sin. Be it the leadership, which almost intentionally led to the defeat of 2020, or its society, which, on the wave of hysteria, achieved the artificial proclamation of Pashinyan who lost the parliamentary elections as prime minister,” he wrote in his article.
The Armenian leadership did not send troops to support Artsakh, did not turn to Russia for help. It initially pursued a policy of thoughtful surrender of Karabakh – and Russian experts talked about this back in 2018. “The Armenian society really wanted to play the game ‘revolutionary fight against corruption’ in the same year 2018.”
According to Chernyakhovsky, Azerbaijan has been accumulating strength and preparing for revenge for thirty years.
“Who said that the Armenians of Artsakh who have maintained their independence for many years will not prepare for their revenge for as long as it takes, passing from generation to generation the dream of the revenge on those who abused and betrayed them?
The right to self-determination was taken away from the people of Artsakh. Time will tell when it is returned. But no one can take away the Right to Revenge from Artsakh. It is already there today,” he wrote.
