“Armenia should abandon its destructive position and fulfill the obligations arising from international humanitarian law,” Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the international conference Addressing the Issue of Missing Persons: Upholding Families’ Right to Know the Truth held in Baku.

According to him, “not a single person in Armenia has yet been held accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity.”

“If Armenia is genuinely interested in peace with Azerbaijan, it must strongly condemn the atrocities committed against captured Azerbaijanis and punish the perpetrators. This can also be one of the effective measures to build trust between the two countries,” he said.
