The administration of Noyemberyan city opposed the border delimitation, describing this process as a unilateral concession to Azerbaijan.

The administration’s statement says that the delimitation is fraught with dangerous risks for Armenia’s border security, making important sections of the border extremely vulnerable.

“Local authorities support the establishment of peace, but not through unilateral concessions, especially given that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces continue to occupy a number of sections of Armenia’s territory, including in Tavush. The head of the Noyemberyan community and village chiefs do not support the delimitation process and do not participate in it,” the statement reads.
