Operations carried out in Iran have failed: Pouya Hosseini
Iranian political commentator Pouya Hosseini spoke with Alpha News about the latest military developments surrounding Iran, sharing his assessments on the matter.
According to him, the US president had previously claimed that Iran possessed no serious military capabilities, including an air force, but subsequent events proved otherwise. “They said Iran had no air force, no military capability, but as it turned out, that was a lie,” he noted.
The expert also commented on the rescue operation to evacuate the pilots of a US fighter jet shot down over Iran, noting that it was carried out under difficult and dangerous conditions. According to him, the site of the operation was unsafe for the forces involved, as evidenced by the casualties sustained during it.
“It was no simple operation — Iran essentially set a trap for them to walk into and be destroyed,” he said. According to Hosseini, there is a view among experts that a separate operation was being conducted simultaneously, related to uranium enrichment.
He said an attempt was made to transport uranium enriched to 60%, but that operation also failed. “They say there was another operation involving uranium enriched to 60%, and it too failed,” he noted.
