Ophelia Harutyunyan, one of producers of The Sopranos documentary

HBO has unveiled an official trailer for the ‘Wise Guy: David Chase And The Sopranos’ documentary about the most popular TV series of the late 1990s and 2000s.

The documentary is produced by director and screenwriter Ophelia Harutyunyan, along with Alex Gibney, Nicole Lambert, Richard Perello, Stacey Offman, Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, and Sarah Rodriguez.

The two-part project will premiere on September 7 and 8 on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max. It will tell how screenwriter David Chase was inspired by personal experiences and came up with one of the most legendary TV series in history.The Sopranos’ was broadcast on HBO from 1999 to 2007. It revolved around mobster Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini). The series won several Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
