Opposition initiates urgent parliamentary meeting, demanding to adopt statement calling for release of prisoners in Baku

Parliamentary factions ‘With Honor’ and ‘Armenia’ took the initiative to convene an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly. According to Ishkhan Saghatelyan, an extraordinary meeting will be held over the next four days, probably on November 12.

“The National Assembly should issue a statement calling for the release of POWs and hostages held in Baku,” Saghatelyan said.

He added that tomorrow, at 2:00 p.m., at the initiative of the ARF-D Supreme Body representative, a rally will be held outside the UN office, the embassies of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries and the Foreign Ministry calling on the international organizations and delegates participating in COP29 to release the Armenian POWs in Baku.
