Opposition’s victory in Gyumri was serious reputational and psychological blow to government – Hakob Badalyan

Following the elections in Vagharshapat, the propaganda and information war between the government and the opposition continues, political scientist Hakob Badalyan said in an interview with Alpha News, commenting on the recent elections in Vagharshapat, their consequences, and the lessons for the opposition.

“The government is trying to exaggerate its success, especially after Gyumri, where, as we know, the opposition won,” Badalyan said, noting that this victory was a serious reputational and psychological blow to the government.

According to Badalyan, such loud coverage does not reflect reality.

When asked whether the opposition could have achieved more, the political scientist replied: “I believe they know this better themselves, because they were the ones who participated in these elections, worked with society, and know what they were talking about and where they made mistakes.”
