Compared to 2018, the share of manufacturing in Armenia’s GDP has decreased by almost 9%, economist Suren Karayan said during the presentation of businessman Samvel Karapetyan’s economic program.

“We can note that by 2025 we have reached a historic minimum in this regard. We have not seen such a situation for a very long time, considering that in European countries manufacturing accounts for an average of 24% of GDP. In this context, European countries today believe that every possible measure should be taken to encourage the growth of industry and manufacturing.

We believe that under these circumstances, this is the most essential step. Without it, we cannot move forward,” the economist emphasized.
