Over 600 Armenian heavy trucks waiting to cross Upper Lars checkpoint

Over 600 Armenian trucks are waiting to cross the Russian-Georgian border at the Upper Lars checkpoint, the North Ossetian Traffic Control Center reports.

A total of 2,290 vehicles from different countries are waiting to cross the checkpoint, 666 of which are Armenian. The truck congestion is caused by deteriorating weather conditions on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway.
